I was out and about PvPing this evening and for some odd reason two of my slew of kills landed me 0 marks.
I was (lvl 21) in a MC Bermuda Sloop
Both times I didn't get a mark was vs a Bermuda Sloop(no MC). This was not a fallback ship nor did he have the recently killed debuff.
Anyone else get this?

I don't know about that. I dont board and I have gotten marks. It just happens sometimes where I get nothing.

I don't understand it either. But I HAVE gotten marks of victory without boarding.
Just so you know they are based on level. So I think that if they are below 10 they won't drop any marks.
10-19=1 Mark
20-29=2 Marks
30-39=3 Marks
40-49=4 Marks
50=5 Marks
I'm not positive on that but I remember a dev posting that.

It just seems terribly awkward to PVP for MOVs when you can just grind daily quests so much faster.

Maybe the excitement of PvP? I dunno, PvE is gonna get boring real fast....

Can you link to the most accurate stats of the Lancer? I need to compare it. I don't know what people are afraid of....

This is how mine is rolling. Number is level of upgrade so you can calculate base value.

Hehe, you are a boarding type huh?
By the way....OUCH no DR? It's like driving around a tin foil car.

It takes too damn long to sink stuff compared to my Falcon, so I'm gonna be boarding for a while
I guess this is as fast as it gets without level 6 outfittings.

All depends on how you setup your ship. Damage increase outfitting and skills and I can generally get ships to surrender in two shots to the stern. Course, being a Pirate I'm usually better off boarding.

Actually this is bugged also. Of the half dozen or so L21 players I boarded yesterday they all gave me only 1 Mark. I suspect it is totally messed up. And since I was solo those Marks could not have gone anywhere else.

 Better off boarding? With my 'Locust' Sleek Corvette I can usually get them to surrender in 3-5 broadsides at ~200 range. With my 'Fallen' Refit Snow it's about the same depending on the enemy ship. My Fallen is my DPS/Tank type while my Locust is my chaser :P. I try not to use the 90 point ships as I've gotten good at using 135's and I try to be different then all the 90 point fanboys. No offense.
Edit: It'd be fun for me to fight my Fallen versus your Lancer. :P

Curious, what ships are you talking about? I'm fighting Postillionens and sleek corvettes and stuff like that. I notice that I can ram these, broadside of **** shot and then board against a single reinforcement. Of course I can shoot a Van Horn into submission in a few broadsides

If they had any sense they wouldn't. No way to catch a Lancer in a Posti.

You don't need to catch someone who isn't running away.

I wish there were more people like you on Antigua. I'd love me a Lancer. IMO Pirates have the best skillset for that ship.

as someone else said, still bugged from beta.
Your supposed to get marks for anyone that would normally net XP.
aside from when they been recently sunk or surrendering.
