Linking Station Account to Forum Login

Anyone have the link to link the station account to the forum login. This is my old account and I want to link to my new one. Ideas?

Your not stuck with it at all actually.

If you have linked your Station account to a forum account and then decided you need it linked to a different forum account, you can unlink them here:

http://www.burningsea.com/page/migration/unlink

Press the Unlink Accounts button to unlink the two accounts

Once you've unlinked, log out of the site.

Then log in to http://www.burningsea.com/page/login with your Station account. You will be prompted to link it to a forum account.

EDIT: Unlink page is down atm, was working for me perfectly this morning though, so I assume it is only temporarily down.

Bringing this back up because a lot of people are now asking the same thing. The unlink does not work, and I sent a PM to an Admin that has gone unanswered. Can I get a response here?

You can only log in now with an ACTIVE Station account. You wont be able to post without one. If your posting your sorted.

Right... but I want to link a different forum account to the SOE subscription which we used to be able to do. Only recently with the forum change has the unlinking and relinking been disabled.

I'd like to know if there is another way around that, or if they intend to bring it back.

There isn't a way to do it, because now your pre-order key is associated with this station account.

if you buy another pre-order key then you can use another account.

We can't generally link accounts to a new Station account -- in your case, the Station account you're linked to is the one with the pre-boarding key applied to it (and would therefore also have the final Live key applied to it), so you're probably where you want to be.

If you want a different account linked to a different Station account, you can log out of this account and log in with that other Station account, and create a new forum name for it.

Hi ktatroe, I believe the issue in many cases (including GauwynVorec's) is a desire to change forum name. Unlinking and relinking was one hopeful way of doing this.

(And yep, I'd like to change mine!)
