Flag and Sail not showing right.

I got three set of sails and two flags. But, when i buy them, the icon were all looking the same. I tought it was a small problem, but when i put a sail on my ship the big problem start. Now even if i try to change my sail (except for those Beta and regular one) they always look the same, even worse, everybody that i'm looking at that use his own sail they look as my own. So i'm seeing a lot of people with my sails. And to get worse, my flag is a replica of my sails to, like if you force a sail image to be a flag, transparent with a flying logo.

I've try to erase the user content, dosen't changed nothing. I've try to drop all my flag and let a friend give me one, then all of my flag and sail will look as the one i received, even the one of other.

I've send my problem to FLS 3 time over the last month and they do nothing. I know i'm not alone with this problem.

Firstly; try deleting you User Content folder on your computer. There can be issues that appear with odd network loadings of designs. Simply go into:

My Documents\Pirates of the Burning Sea\userContent

Delete ALL of the files in there. This will make the game reload your user content back up and might fix the problem.

The best advice I could give to you from this point is to firstly report it as a bug.

I'm not one to usually promote hassling the support team but if you haven't heard anything that would be the best idea.

IMPORTANT: If you already have a support ticket on there, then do not add another. Click on the "My Stuff" section and update that ticket. DO NOT MAKE A NEW TICKET.

When writing the ticket, try to supply as much detail as possible. For this, you'd need:

1. The name of the design causing the problem
2. A description of the problem (the more detail the better)
3. How long you've been having the problem
4. Are you getting this on just one ship or a number of ships
5. Screenshots of the problem
6. Note if you're getting an in-game message of any kind when applying the design to your ship

At the same time, I'd copy all this information and send it to Marion, who deals with all the User Content specifically. You can send her a Private Message by clicking on this link here (http://www.burningsea.com/forums/member.php?find=lastposter&t=2102) and then in her profile, clicking the link that says "Send a private message to Marion vanGhent"

Au début j'ai fait comme tout le monde et j'ai fabriqué mes propres voiles, 3 voiles différentes et 2 drapeaux. J'ai finalement obtenue 1 drapeau par vote et approbation, il paraissait bien, pas de probleme. Ensuite j'ai obtenue une voile, tout était toujours beau. Le probleme est survenue quand j'ai obtenue ma seconde et ma troisieme voile. Quand je suis allez les acheter a P-a-P chez le vendeur j'ai tout de suite remarquer que les icones de mes voiles étaient tous pareil, identique a ma premiere voile de la liste. Et meme les drapeaux étaient devenuent une copie de la voile (une image pourtant qui n'était pas fait pour etre des drapeaux, transparence et logo au centre...).

J'ai quand meme prit les voiles me disant que ce n'était que chez le marchand le probleme, mais non, c'est meme lors de l'affichage de mes voiles et drapeau sur mon navire. J'ai ensuite remarquer que meme si je les changeait, ils étaient toujours pareil. Pire encore, j'ai remarquer que les voiles et drapeaux des autres joueurs qui utilisent leur propre création avaient tous l'allure de la mienne. Donc je voit plein de gens avec mes voiles!!!

J'ai alors fait des tests, un ami m'a donné sa propre voile pour voir, et ca ne changeait rien du tout. Alors j'ai jetter tout mes voiles et j'ai ensuite pris la voile de mon ami, et alors tout les voiles que je voyait avait l'allure de la sienne, et ce meme si je reprenait mes propres voile au marchand de P-a-P. Donc j'ai cibler que le probleme est que la premiere image que je prend devient celle que je verais toujours.

J'ai alors essayer d'effacer mon user content. Rien ne change, pas meme le full scan. Alors j'ai fait un test avec mes propres voiles, si j'en donne une copie a qq et qu'il me la redonne apres avoir quitter le jeu et effacer mon user content et tout mes autres voile dans mon inventaire, alors là, je peut l'avoir. Mais faut pas que j'en prenne une autre, sinon c'est encore pareil. Et meme avec cette solution, tout le monde que je voit a mes voiles, je ne peut donc pas voir leur création.

En passant, j'ai acces au voiles Beta et eux, ils sont toujours ok, je voit aussi les voiles des NPC et les autres voiles Beta ou du systeme normalement, ce n'est que ceux des User Content qui sont en probleme.

J'ai deja contacter FLS et fait un rapport, on m'a dit d'effacer le user content, ca change rien, et ensuite ils ont indiquer mon probleme ''solved'' . Mais ce n'est pas le cas. J'ai rencontrer au moins une autre personne qui a mon probleme, une certain Rejean Lemay sur Antigua, le serveur ou je suis.

What I am going to do is to write out what your problem is here in English so that I can copy it to people but you can also take a copy of it and send it to FLS.

The problem is that lagriffeduloup seems to be getting a problem when they apply a sail or a flag. When they go to the merchant all of their designs show up as the same, even though the player has different designs.

This follows through for when they bought the designs, as when he applies them to his ship he only ever gets the same design. He tried a test also with a friends design and that did the same thing and didn't change the design to that other players on his ship.

Equally, if he sees other players out in the Open Sea with user content designs, they all come up with the same design as the first one he applied to himself and not whatever that players design might be.

It seems that no matter what lagriffeduloup does, the design always stays the same, if it's a user content design.

The player has got the Beta sail and flag designs, which all work fine and also the player reports that they do not have any problem with seeing any npc flag and sail designs in the game, it's purely something with the user content system.

The player has reported the problem to the Support team before, to which whoever deals with it reports first that they will pass the details onto the User Content team and then changes the ticket to solved, which is clearly not the case. The player has also asked around and isn't the only person who is having this problem, as they have spoken to Rejean Lemay on Antigua who has the same bug.

I have written this out as clearly as I am able, in the hope that this players issue can be solved as soon as possible, as it's clearly resulting in a very obvious decrease in their satisfaction of the game.

If you need to contact the player again, please do so in French, so that they can understand what you're asking of them.

Thanks... :o) Than there is hope!!! I'm 40 and never saw my own flag and sail right. Even for that, it's a great game and it goes better everytime. I'm sure you will found the solution.
