Freetraders: 2 Questions

1. I read in the index that freetraders (and I assume all the others) get special career based missions. Thing is, I'm not sure where I can accept these missions. I'm French if that helps at all.

2. I'm also looking for the "FreeTrader Recipe Trainer." Again, I'm French if that helps... or hinders. ;)

Class specific missions can be found from any class trainer every 5 levels. So, check any Freetrader trainer and he should have a quest for you. The lvl 5 FT mission is called Business and Pleasure. You may already have it in your log and not know it.

As to the purchasing of advanced FT recipies, that can be done in San Juan. Yes, even for the French it's still in San Juan (unless someone found the French guy and didnt tell me). For a reasonably long time now the vendors for the books have been missing in both Pointe-a-Pitre and Port Royale. Just head to the Company Office in SJ and look for a vendor. You may miss him at first, so just mouse over all the NPCs.

I checked all over PaP yesterday, and did not see him... He might have been there and I missed it, but I ended up having to buy my books in SJ... So I'm guessing not fixed.

Aye, same in Port Royal. No books.

San Juan is still the place to go, but my guess is they will fix it soon enough.

Dont you need a certain standing to enter the Company Office? I know the door is locked for me.

The door may be locked for other reasons, but no you don't need any kind of standing to enter the Company Office.

It may just not be clickable (a bug), watch to see if you get the message "Press X to enter the Company Office" at the bottom of your screen when you are near the door.

Actually I can click on the door and a window pops-up (exactly like a mission window) and after the words Company Office it says Locked in perenthisis. It is also greyed out and unselectable.

Put in a support ticket and see if the Devs can say why. As far as I remember, no company office is locked due to Faction.

Last I checked, the Company Office should not be locked. Are you sure you weren't trying to enter the Tradehouse?

Yea if I remember correctly faction standing only applied to the AH in non regional towns.

Hmmm ... just hit 15 and I am not being offered a "class quest" from the FT trainer. He just offers me the same 'ol advice on how to equip clothing? Any suggestions?

Have you completed your last FT quest? The level 10 one? Check your mission log. If you have Business and Pleasure (lvl5 one) or one that involves scouting a site in the jungle for a production set-up (cant remember the name) then you are still on one of your FT quests.
