Does it really take 6 hours to instal the download for this game?

I installed this game and started the download at 11:30 this morning and it is still telling me 4 more hours. Is that correct or do I have some thing going wrong here?

No, if you're installing off the 1.0 CD it's going to take you a long, long time. Odds are nothing is wrong.

He's right. Nothing is wrong with your end. I've spent ALL day, and all last night downloading the patches for this game. My original time said 26+ hours.
Now it's been longer than that and my downloader still says 9+ hours, of course that's because we're downloading from SOE or FLS and they both suck.

I'm wondering if I'll get a couple days credit for having to wait so long to play the game and I'm already paying for it. I was joking in my last post about it, but now, it's absolutely ridiculous.

I recently reinstalled using the Sony Station launcher. I want to say it took probably around 5 hrs or so for me, though admittedly I set it to download and went to bed after a couple of hours.

The station launcher will download build 1.9. However we are currently on build 1.12 so it will take time to download all those updates.

If you are using a box set, use the station launcher instead. The box set goes from 1.0 and will take alot longer.

Up to you. If you're not having a long download time just stick with it but if it starts to become to long you can try it. For now, if I was in your shoes, I'd continue with what you're already doing. :)

mine seems to be only taking about an hr or so.. i hope that what really takes... well did find out it took all night...

I just installed from the cds last weekend and it took around 34 hours to patch the game, but for most of that time I was using the games patcher rather than the station launcher.
