Anyway, I was just looking through some of the sections of the site that I dont normally visit etc, such as society lists, fansites etc. Lots of societies have websites set up and there are a couple of fansites.

Couple of suggestions then.

Firstly. Update your society lists or fansite pages (I submitted mine ages ago and they're not there!).

Secondly - Have your art boys(and girls) design a set of banners and buttons so that those people who have taken the time to set up sites can direct anyone that stumbles across them to this site or the free trial site to see more about the game. It might get you a couple of new players. If you host the art on your servers, you can change it to advertise new features or milestones as and when they get launched.

I'm sure many of the people hosting these sites would give up a banner spot to help grow the game they obviously care about. (Alternatively, you could target their sites with your adwords :))

For society listing there needs to be a way to remove old societies. Many of the societies in the list simply don't exist any more.

Maybe a bi monthly email asking whoever registered the society to renew it. Or even an automated system where it shows ll the societies in game, listing their server, nation and population.

Also for ingame societies they need to make it where you can see when the last time someone logged on was. That way societies can tell who has quit and who hasn't.

Kip I like you more and more every time you post :)

EDIT: It's not exactly what you asked for, but I made these three banner ads for my own blog a while back, feel free to use 'em if you want until the new fansite kits come out or FLS gives us official banners to use. I just have 'em on a rotation and linked to the free trial page.
