View Full Version : Enemy Ships totally unbalances R V R

The number of different enemy ships around certain ports is making it impossible to defend or attack them. Around some ports their is simply no traffic to engage at all for example around Yucantan their are loads of british ships however spanish and french ship are not just rare but simply dont appear. This is not just a british problem.

The other issue is one of balance some ports are covered by high level ships +30 making it much harder to gain points quickly. While other ports are over run with smaller ships increase the amount points gained very quickly.

Perhaps what is even worst is once the enemy has taken over that port it still spawns the orginal owners ships.

Quite honestly it makes the whole P v P quite a farce at the moment even if you wanted to help their is little we can do.

Are you absolutely sure that's what it's doing?

You'd think that the bloody RVR system would be at the top of the debug list, eh?

File bug reports for individual cases where there are problems with the spawns.

hehe they need to make it soo ever player kill you have in an area removes all the unrest they have gained while there.. so if i kill an FT that just droped 5k unrest worth of items he should be wroth -5k unrest if i kill him

There actually are ports where the spawns arent broken?
You really gotta tell me :)

Probably at Irish Point you might have a slight chance to defend your port...

Uh I don't know, wouldn't you defend a port by sinking the guys that attack your shipping there?

That's not doable until after the first 5k, and only then if you have a privateer in the party with sanctioned piracy. Basically, the only way to defend your ports if someone is attacking NPC's to raise contention is to find NPC's of the attacking nationality and grind against the other group. An attacking party is completely safe until the 8K when armed combat begins, or til the 5k when pirate PVP begins.

It's...kinda lame that way...Watching an attacking nation sink ship after ship after ship of your own and not being able to do anything about it. The OP's complaint is that, for example, let's say:

The british are trying to take Havana. They have to raise contention by killing Spanish ships near Havana. They are immune to PVP attack until the contention reaches 5k, and only then if a privateer choses to be a sanctioned Pirate.

The Spanish have no way to retaliate except to find British NPC's and sink those. This is what the OP is addressing, because if there aren't enough British NPC's around Havana to kill, the Spanish are completely defenseless. Weird isn't it? That you're actually worse off because there aren't enough NPC's of the enemy nation near your ports!

There are other ways to lower contention besides taking out NPC ships, you know.

well, until 5k you can do Garrison commander missions.

Btw, can't you enter the PVE battles that would result in unrest and defend your ships?
