24 French attacking 24 Spanish, Stingray Island, default wind.
French force was about 5 1st/2nds, a couronne, about 5 or 6 valiants, some reasons, token alex, some archelons and mont blancs, 4 mc hercs. Spanish force was 5 1st/2nds, about 8 or 9 valiants, token alex, reason, few archelons, 3 mc hercs, HH, 2 mercys. Spanish on the whole slightly heavier than french, due to extra valiants.
Spanish draw up typical static line facing north. France draw up to the west facing the rear and wait for a while. France move in and linefight. Good french focus fire sees a 1st rate and 2nd rate spiked out at the front of the spanish line, which the french lose a reason and a 2nd themselves.
Both lines circle round, french take the wind, and have already taken the gun. Spanish stay facing close hauled south, french circle round again, and lose 3 ships to no kills. Lots of circling round done, couple more french die, spanish eventually form up facing west-southwest towards town entrance, french form up facing town to the south of it. French turn and go behind spanish, spanish circle round behind french, and blobcharge. French lose another 2nd and a 1st rate, and a valiant, while spanish lose an mch.

End result - 11 french down, 3 spanish. Slight economic win for spain, and we keep the port. Well fought frenchies, its a hard map to attack on and your manouevers were clever, drawing us away from the land and forming up quickly. Hope to keep the good battles coming.
