But as seen with those who are trading their PS3's and games in, they have put more money into those consoles than 95% of the people have into this game, but they are still trading it in :p.

Downtimes that take more than a week tend to start making people think about changes, no matter what the product is. I just hope most of the players do decide to come back, this game doesn't need to lose anymore people :D.

How many Pirate MMO's are there? This one. I'll be back =)

People also need to remember it is the summertime.

Activity is a lot less anyways.

Those who won't be playing, it could very well be several months before they are really active again, and it was on a game they grew sour on before the outage.

While some will say "who cares, it is F2P, people will come back" they are overlooking something. If you aren't paying into TA, FLS isn't making any money. Those people cutting back their playtimes won't be shelling money into the system.

This really could not have happened at a worse time for FLS. Several of their decisions were already leading to the boat taking on water. Now if they aren't careful the damn thing will capsize.

It's kinda cheap to criticize FLS, come on it's a hard situation to handle, a lot of economical intesrests for them, u can't as a player just tell them their choices where bad...they associated with sony which was a good idea i think, because sony usually works well, it got hacked yeah so what, it could of happened to any other platform, stop blaming it on Sony or FLS...blame on those little *** holes that hacked

Yeah i think they forget that they need the spenders to carry on playing this game, active freebie players don't pay the FLS bills. Agree with the summer too, isn't good for the game - sadface :(

Partnering with Sony, if one looks at the long view, probably did more harm than good. They took a SERIOUS PR hit when they first announced their partnership with Sony. Logical or not (I'm leaning towards the latter), a lot of people dropped interest in this game through FLS' affiliation with SOE.

They did absolutely nothing to help promote the game, and in this case, Sony really dropped the ball not only with their security, but how the public perceives their security, which is a lot more important dollarwise.

Emphasis on that last sentence, a perfect take on the problem they will be facing after this has all been resolved. As for the promotion part... I completely agree, I didn't know SoE existed, it is like a dirty secret.

Anyone else notice an update to the station launcher??

Yes, but it will not complete the update. Last night it would go to 15%, now it goes to 60%, but then the update always crashes.

Nuju, you made me laugh kiddo.. Never before have I been blamed, jokingly or not, for anything as huge as global warming ;)

Nuju-

Will FLS lose players? Yes. The outage is a witch but I still think there are enough of us junkies left waiting patiently(or not) for our game to come back. I have tried a few other games and while a few were terrible, it's the fact I don't want to play with those people... I miss you beasts. The community will pull some back.

I'll be back. Killing time in a few games but I'm not so attached too them as I am to this one. Got a free 5 day reactivation for EvE yesterday. Logged in. Talked to a few old friends on TS3. Spun my ships for an hour and logged off. So EvE's not going to do it anymore.

I played WoT in the beta for a long time. So the newness is gone there. It's a good game, but having had all the big dawg tanks already kind spoils it now having too regrind to get them again. It's still my go to game though atm for a pvp fix.

Global Agenda, meh. It's ok. Pretty, the pvp's cool. But it lacks the hook too make me want too log in and grind. My anti-social nature kicks in on this and probebly makes it worse. (The global chat is far more ******ed than Rat nation chat could ever hope to be.)

I played WoW from open beta to x-mas 2010. Any game now with a elf makes me throw up a little in my mouth. So LOTR, Guild wars, no thanks. Down loaded them, played ten mins each and said to my self "Not this **** again."

I miss my Cap MC, my HHerc, Priv Mig and maces. I miss smack talking my fellow BBR members for missioning and sending goofy soc mails. They all took off to Age of Empires online's beta. I can't play it, looks like flintstones online too me.

So in closing, SoE, you bastards, fix yer ****.
Red.

I'll be back too, I guess. But do you think all newcomers and people trying the game will do the same ?

SOE is killing POTBS. As they already killed SWG, these guys should go back to the 80s build crappy walkman and let pro take care of online gaming.
