Personal Conquest Points

After reading DrewC's post about how PCP's work in another thread I found no answer for my situation. Here's what happened. I had PCP's for Turtling Bay and Havana. Invites for TB were sent and I received one and accepted. A few minutes after those the havana invites were sent. I had 20 PCP's in havana. What happens to people in this situation? I would assume their points never go to the pool because they are not eligible for that port battle? And thus, since the points were never in the pool they never get 'transformed' into general points? Is this how it works?
Also what if someone has points but is offline? Being offline again should make a player not eligible for the pool for whatever port thus meaning again that his PCP's are never transformed into general points?

When you are offline you certainly don't get your points transformed into General.
