What gives, my subscription is closed!

I played the 14 day trial, which actually ends Tuesday. Today (Monday), I entered the retail code into my Station account from the actual box I bought at Best Buy.

It then prompted me to enter my credit card info and such. I canceled due to the fact that I get 30 days free with the retail box. I plan on buying a large time block when my 1st 30 days are up.

When I go to play the game it says "You are not registered for Pirates of the Burning Sea." I paid $49.99 for the game, which includes 30 days free, and don't want to be charged $14.99 for a 1 month subscription.

Will I be charged $14.99 if I give my CC info after entering the retail code? I tried to re-enter the code at the log-in screen and it says "That Activation Code has already been used."

Can someone clarify this for me.

Go back and enter your credit card information. The 30 day trial acts like an instant rebate, so right when you go to the payment screen after entering in your credit card information, it shows a 14.99 subscription fee and a -14.99 30-day free trial, giving a grand total of $0. It was confusing for me too.

I was given a 30 day pre-paid card with my game. Can I use that instead of a CC for subscribing?

Thanks for the quick replies.

I just slapped in my pre-paid card for the initial subscription and used my AMEX for the recurring.

SOE needs to make that a lot clearer on the subscription page. It doesn't say ANYWHERE that your not gonna get charged until you hit accept.
