Default Pirate control of Ports

They need to increase the time that Pirates keep a port once its won in a PB. This will make several things happen. 80% of the PB I have been in the Nationals dont put up a fight at the PB since they know it will be back to them in 2 days. The time should be increased to at least a week or 2 weeks. When Pirates take a port 2 days isnt enough time to get anything done. Also the losers should get some kind of reduction like no labor build in there structures or at a much slower rate. The winners of the PB need a reward like 100k per person that survives (looting)

Also there needs to be a penalty for running in a PB.

In PVP when I attack a ship on the open sea with 100% Accy I should spawn within cannon range 400 to 500 yards. When you spawn in at 700+ and most people run its pointless to PvP. You need to get a few shots on each other If they were in the PvP in there ship this means they have chosen to fight no just run off.

Dirty Fighting need to be beefed up with the pasive skills that the other 2 have to make it more viabale.

The cost of production of pretty much all stuff needs to be reduced. The Pirates dont get anywhere near the exps or loot or money for missions. And with the NERF for the few farming missons we have thats out also.

The upcomming NERFS on the mods I ask why? The MOV and MOT exchange stuff pretty much stinks that need to be fixed.

A lot of ideas here, maybe they should separate threads. I'm only going to address the first one.

Yes, I think the pirates should get to hold a port longer than 3 days. A week or 10 days sounds good.

Right now many nats won't oppose a pirate attack because they know the port reverts in three days. That's a "victory w/o having any fun" imho. Who wants to be in unopposed port battles? Those are the most fun part of the game. The present system actually encourages that behavior on the part of nats when attacked by rats.

Increasing the length of time also helps pirates in RvR because they will hold the 10 points for a longer period than the 3 days they get now. It might even cause nats to counter-attack, something they never do now.

Freezing labor time from accumulating as long as pirates hold the ports might also produce a reason to defend and a reason to counter attack. And it's a much better solution than looting warehouses and destroying structures as has often been proposed in the past.

I like it only I'd like to see the labor drop to zero and start building back up instead of frozen. I'd also like to one of two ideas for after the pirates leave. One, it reverts to original owner or two, the port is given to whichever nations scores the most points against the pirates (earning the locals respect) during the pirate occupation. In the second idea I'm pretty sure it would never happen but by giving the port to whoever earns the points in it, it will encourage people to engage the pirates so they can steal the port away from the original owner.
