Default Launchpad problem with audio_*.pig files

Is anyone else having a tough time downloading the audio files for the game? Initially I downloaded the game from the sony store, but when running the patcher the scan would slow down at these files (audio_g.pig.gz audio_a.pig.gz etc) (scan took ~10min) and the download would take hours for files that are not that large. One time it finally finished, and the game failed to start. The next time I ran it, the launcher went through the same sequence.

I tried deleting all of the files and just running the new beta Station Launcher and it was downloading fine until it got to the same files. I have no idea why these specific files are causing such a hassle....any thanks would be appreciated.

I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium with AMD x2 Turion (1.8ghz), 2gb ram, radeon hd2600 mobility.

There are some issues with the station launcher and downloading a new install. My workaround was to go into the game folder, delete everything in lp_temp, and start the download again.

The audio pigs each should range from 90-350 MB each so it is not suprising to me that they are taking a long time. Also, the time estimates on the launchpad are usually pretty inaccurate.

So - if the launchpad is having issues downloading files that is one issue. If the launchpad finishes the download, starts the game, and crashes it is another issue. You should attach a launchpad log for launchpad issues (and contact station support) and attach a client log for the game not being able to start (client logs are in "My Document\Pirates of the Burning Sea\log")

Finally got it. Had to uninstall through the new beta launcher, then manually go in and double check that everything was cleared out, then had the new launcher reinstall everything to a new location. That got it to work. Something was definitely not working between those files and the old launcher though, it was taking those files longer than it took to download the entire game...not to mention killing my poor computer while they did it :P
