Default Accuracy debuff with increased speed

Ok so I know we hate all those silly fail gankers... well what about something as simple as nerfing all ships accuracy at higher speeds?

I dont know if any of you have tried shooting something from a moving boat, but I have (water baloon launcher in a sailing regatta ftw!!!) and your chance of hitting the target decreases a lot the faster you go. So why not something similiar in PotBS?

Ships dont accerlate and declerate on a dime, so simpy dropping sails wouldnt suffice, not if you are going 24 knots.

IMO this would cut back a lot on HMC and Khan ganks as they wouldnt be able to hit while doing 31 knots.

Maybe. But not outrageously so, in my opinion.
Didn't they cap that at 25 knots at some point?

I seem to recall a patch message or such mentioning a cap to the speed penalty..

Edit: Rilly, they should just up the penalties on integrity and stuff for failfit items. I understand that lightweight guns are to be axed at some point entirely, but if they changed runner's rigs from -5 crew def to say oh -12.5% to -20% sail integrity (which actually makes sense; a heavily loaded riggies tuned for speed is more likely to break catastrophically under fier than a lightly loaded one that's optimized for redundancy and strenth), and upped the armor penalty for racebuilts and and added some to streamlined....

i like the idea of loosing mast integrity for speed like that. and it makes sence.
im not sure it would stop anyone from failfitting tho..
