Is is possible to get an App built for the iphone or Ipad that will allow u to runn off your eco when on vacation..even if u cant sail around... i mean just make the production clicks anyways

I really doubt that would be possible. But what making an app that uses the Conquest API is very possible. All you would need is the technical skills and a **** load of money to pay Apple. Joining the developer group costs several hundred dollars a year, plus the money for a suitable Mac to build the app on, and the money to buy at a minimum an iPod touch to test the app on.

The problem with such an app is that doing econ requires you to sail to the port where you have your econ lots.

Of course, the app could only function if you had a ship at the port.

But I doubt FLS has the resources to do anything like this.

well thats what i mean like if u knew u were on vacation u could log in and it showed where u have a boat and eco slots and u just touched and it ran of your eco... If you had the mats there ect..

it would be a simple prog with not much features--- if u dont have a boat or mats there then yeah u couldnt do it..

im sure if the game was more popular someone out there would make a prog for it with fls permission.

anyways was just entertaing the idea.

meh, I just handed my account info off to Bennett back in the day if I went on vacation.

Course now I'm not doing econ. Might have to change that come pnp.

We've contemplated things like this to link into the leaderboards and generally I think we might look into it (it was more for facebook/twitter updates at the time).

As for an app that lets you do in-game things? That (I feel) might be a bit much.

Ironically, I had already put some work into exactly this.

I hit a brick wall after sending emails to FLS , trying to open a dialogue on how to get permission to use certain assets, etc ( no point in wasting months of development time to later get a cease and desist letter from FLS ).

Eventually I gave up waiting for a response.

i think this can be interesting...

used to have free aion server, where you got vote system/armory/unstuck/teleport etc...you could do in-game things from website.

if you wanted you could check what you got on your toon in slots, how many money, abyss points...

this exist on wow free servers too...

so maybe we can have something similar. maybe you will log here on site and you will check how many labor you got on your structures.

but this need permission to databases...implement isnt hard...

Better yet how about having standing orders to run X every X number of days assuming you are in the same port.

TBH, I always wished I could pay upkeep remotely without having to re-visit the port, and this doesn't seem that game-breaking to me. It would be cool to be able to run off accumulated lot hours while away, or perhaps even be able to extend orders on the AH (and see what you've sold).

This suggestion has some merit.
