cant build plantation!

ive tryed everything i know of but i cant seem to build a plantation in grenville.

- my reputation is 260+ indiffent with frence trade union
- i have the 1000 gold required
- all the materials, including the general plantation deed which i aquired through the economic tutorial missions are in the warehouse i have in grenville
- i only have 3 structured in grenville, i have no ther characters

the build popup shows everything green so i just cant understand why the build option is greyed out. please tell me what im missing, if anything

This may seem like a stupid question, but is your character French? If not then he is going to get hit with taxes, so the info window that pops up may show good to go, but you have to have the extra DB for taxes.

just wanna say ive now built the plantation. it was only after building another structure that i was then allowed to build it. the problem was the build plantation tool tip appeared at the bottom of the screen. after i built the 2nd structure, the plantation tool tip now appeard in the middle of the screen which allowed me to see that i need 4 leather to build it, something i wasnt aware off.

the UI could defo with some improvement in regards to this
