Default Traders idea

Hello all

I had a idea that would integrate the freetraders a little bit more.

For example: If player A have a Store in a harbor, he could go to a spezial npc were he could mark the goods that would be trade to another harbor were player A have a store. The goods have a price of 3k dublones, he must pay 3k+10% to guarantee that he have enough money to pay the trader player B.

Know if a another player B come, he could walk to this spezial npc, look what goods are inside and were they should be convey to.

Know player B could bye this items for 3k, the money goes to the npc, sail to the harbor were the goods convey to, walk to the spezial npc and sell the goods with the benefit of 10%, this 10% player A have to pay.


If player B lose the hole goods he have to pay a punishment of about 10% to player A


if the deal works good:
player A pay 3k+10%=3,3k in harbor 1 and store the goods

player B bought the goods for 3k

player B sell the goods to the npc in harbor 2 for 3k+10%=3,3k

if i have not done a mistake player A have to pay 10% to player B for the convey


if player B lose all goods:
player B have to pay 3k+10%=3,3k to player A

player A have know his 3k dublones + his 10% from the npc +10% from player B =3,6k

player B lose 3k+10%=3,3k

if i have not done a mistake player A lose his goods but get 10% from the price of the goods, from player B.

Problem.

There is no way to say those goods are worth 3k. The market determines the value of those goods. They might be worth 3k in Port Royal, but they might be worth 5k in Belize, or maybe worth only 2k in Belize.

Goods also have a production cost that is based upon the cost of the components used to build them. If you bought components the production cost of the goods might be higher than if you made everything yourself.

Such a system would still be abuseable. I could take someone's goods and dump or keep them to eliminate competition. Sure he would get the money, but I used free money to buy his goods anyway, plus I just cost him a good number of labor hours for goods he won't be able to use in his other Structures.
