Crash on Flying Labs Software screen

When I try to play POTBS now it gets to the Flying Labs Software for about two seconds and then it says it's not responding. This is getting annoying.

I get as far as being able to hit the log in button then it freezes and crashes my computer. I just redownloaded after a long departure that was a dreaded ten hours all over again. then to have my laptop crash and blue screen me?! ugh wth.
