Charlestown 07/09/10 Brits v Spain

The Battle:

Both sides take their default doors and charged at the fortress, whilst the Spanish 1st rate decided to go afk to make lunch. The Brits managed to get everyone into the fort, so the dons destroyed the town gun and lined up in 2 lines between the fort and town. Brits had a dc and a scout and then we all got bored for 30 minutes.

Dons sent 7 into town to kill the first npc, which they did. Still no British activity in the fortress. Just as I gave the order to take the second npc, 10 of the British popped out of the defender fortentrance and 3 out of the main fort entrance. I immediately brought our avcom squad out of town, and Spain charged close haul at the main body of the brits, with star shot loaded. One brit was given a surrender just as the charge hit home, and the other nine brits were demasted and boarded, leaving the three who had come out of the other entrance to get into the town.

Once the fight on the OS was done, the spanish regrouped and entered town, where we calmly and quicky took the town.

james norrington led that one for britland, freeman and myself showed up in fail rigged ships from a pvp fight (we were about to die, im sure jack sparrow is not happy :P) and just sort of did our own thing.

i will be re rolling pirate next map and enjoy being irrelevent for a while.


and only joe and myself left out of the other exit, i believe graf made it from defender fort entrance to town right thru the bulk of your force. /tiphat graf!

edit: also very disiplined avcom from spain, very good job in the town. you gave us no chances in there.
