"Character Invalid" ?!?

I'm in the game, playing, but when I try and add someone to friends list, My "Add" button is greyed out and I get the message "Character Invalid".

Oddly, I am able to start groups on my own, and other people can add me to their friends list, I just can't add anyone else to my friends list, which is frustrating.

Weird.

/no, logging and reloading does not fix.

This is happenning to me too. I thought it might be full, but deleting some has done nothing to help. Neither has a full file scan.
