How do I start the free 30-day trial. I just punched in the activation code from the box and now SOE is trying to make me put credit card info in.

Yea, you put in the credit card info,and it doesn't charge the card. It charges it a month from the day you put it in and in the mean time you are on the 30 day free trial. MMO's do that so that when you decide you dont like that game, you stop playing but also forget that your still being charged but it's too late to do anything about it.

If you want to get your 30 days free, put in your credit card information, then you have your 30 free days. If you want you can cancel your card. Or leave it, I dont care.

Hi,

I've activated my box code to play for free 30 days with my old BETA SOE account and it says it has expired!

On the date it says: Activation date 18-Nov-2010 but near it it says is closed.

What's wrong?

There's been a few whispers from players having similar issues with trials recently, which is more than likely because were literally days away from going free-to-play. I'd advise speaking with SOE Support who should be able to solve this for you.
