Numbers:
France - 17 (Macedons, a Valiant, HH, HS) - Lead by Gillet untill he went down, then by commitee
Spain - 17 (Macedons, Archelons, HH, HMC, Athena, Arcadia) - Lead by Elune(?)

The Battle:
France jumps out of the Square door and heads north in double line. Spain jumps out of scimitar and heads southern. France turns south as well and a linefight begins where France takes the first casualty, the french line gets too spread out, but so is the spanish and the order to charge the spanish line is given, after this it is a big brawl, but in the end the french comes out victorious.

Result:
France - 8/17
Spain - 17/17

man i'm so dissapointed.... i lagged out whole battle. i got out of focus fire once, second time i went down just before getting out of range... didn't shoot once in the battle x)

for the next PB, ill follow the advice of elune and stop the pr0n streaming before teh fight :P

The stretching out of the line was intended. The back of the line was under order to force themselves on the French rear ships, but that never happened. When Val and Ice went into boarding, I was left in charge, but blind to the fleet. One last attempt was made to get the fleet more cohesive again, then I sunk. Thunder takes over, and apparently sink 1 or two more Frenchies. But it was too late, and the Dons had been pulled far too downwind.

Add my Archelon to the French ship list... at least until I disconnected. Bad form on the Dons who sunk me while I was reconnecting, unless it happened before they realised that I had (I was under some fire at the time).

Good honest fight. I gave out a fair amount of damage - pretty sure I would have caused about two ships' worth of pain, so I'm happy I did my bit.

After my last PB with the Archelon when I was out of range for a long while, I re-equipped with one accuracy and one long arm cannon. The +4% range means the 16 pounders get 640y range, which makes all the difference.

You were under fire when it happened, and the rest of us didn't notice your dc either. I don't think the spaniards meant any harm, it's hard to stop fire on a target especially with the language barrier.
