Apologies to all captains from either side looking for this report.. i make it a job to post every battle i hear about or lead, had some health stuff to take care of cheers and lets read! -Cookie-

THE BRIDGETOWN BASH II

After their defeat at the hands of His most Catholic Majesty of Spain, Phillip V, the blesphemist fleet once again attempted to come ashore and retake our recent anex of Bridgetown.

Leader: I'm told he was new, however i must say he did much better.

The Battle

The british attack on bridgetown was met with significant Spanish resistance as we prepared our fleet for engageing the enemy fleet. Many captains grabbed points and we recieved a moral boost from the effort...
In the ready room we realized that the map....
(once again Havana Harbor, do they change?) was our battle ground. My issue with this was that the british knew my usual Havana harbor plans, do i picked a new one.
Hoping the blaspemist fleet would spawn from the north i had the fleet exit as far south as possible and set of in a defensive position till i knew the location of the brits thanks to one of our scouts.. at this point the brits sealed the deal when they sailed too far south without a scout.. we then (knowing their position in the fort bay lined up) charged in head on at their fleet and caused a huge brawling mess and chased them out of the bay losing 1 HMC, to killing 18 in the brawl and chase.. the rest were run down ans slaughtered 19 in total?

A message to the British:
I had lead in britian for a long time and enjoyed many wins and in my time in spain, i have noticed the british giving us wind or not taking advantage of their fleet composition and/or position. After hearing that a new Port battle commander had stepped up i was suprised.. Not normally do new guys in britainn step up much less give their fleet direction, this PB leader did tell you to move and try to shoot, and it must be made known to him that it wasnt his fault but the fleet as a whole. At one point the british could have sank the charge where it started, but the lack of focus fire was appaling, and that is not the commanders fault it is each groups fault. I do like calling my fleets targets but even trying a sectioned fleet with one target caller is a good thing and let a commander steer the fleet... throughout the recent QQ on the forums one person got my belief as well, that is Garf/Nina/Koksi, i love his thinking cause its is a good tip the tip is; "You cannot expect to win in a PB if you do not do heavy PVP and test yourself with spikes" i'll add my bit and say, you guys need to practice brawls, if the map dosnt look like all your boats hit the fan, then your are not practicing it right..This new commander seemd to know to 180 his front half back to componsate for the charge unlike the days the full Black leagion group was their.. they just took the charge like a balloon till we popped it... The main british weekness atm is they dont defend their boardings, and sadly i have taken advantage of that knowing the lack of the british initiative to do so.. Make sure to run your fleet in a defensive matter when needed but to also attack the harshest you can when possible, finding that balance is key, and i have only recently realized that myself. I offer to anyone tips and tricks i have learned and their is help in britain, right now your 3 bast groups are DSL/DEV, WIS, and Black legion... Learn from them and ask them questions, even approaching Cous Cous or my Wifey Eluna Bananahammock is good... You also have my friend Morgan lacerda and Key det in britian ask them to help you out, it must come down to less in fighting and more love. Right now.. spain is beating everyone cause (yes we have alot of peeps atm sorry) but we also get along, their is NO QQ on our nation chat, and we jump in fights to assist each other.. and when is comes down to it guys,, you have the larger pop and 24 is the max people you can get in a PB.. nomatter the national population. Also dont leave your one group (JK) to do your flipping everyone should show up.. Cause more flips is more possible wins, they have been at ST alone for 2 days now with Port throwing his money to get somthign started.. For all the sheit he gets and the times we kill him.. he is still a constant reminder that their is atleast someone and their soc trying..
