Why am I always getting stuck?

I had a similar problem when I started playing years ago. It turned out it was my (wired, not wireless) router. When I plugged the modem directly into the computer POTBS worked fine.

Could be your firewall disabling some ports of POTBS try disabling a while and retry

I have noticed a similar problem if I am using my wireless mouse and the battery is starting to get low.

But definitely check your firewall. That can be a major cause.

Type in /addmetric in your chat window. Here you can check your framerate and ping

Do a hop test pointing to the server your playing on.

I have the best of the best net connections with my isp but because I play from Tasmania, Aus and the server is all the way over in the US I cop lag here and there to the point I can't really pvp, the ship to ship combat is playable but the avcon is awful and theres not many fights I get into that is a ship to ship battle most of the time I'm boarded
