The part about this new rule, I really dont like is it dosnt just effect pvp, it effects nps. It effect stuff as simple as grinding. I dont recall anyone ever complianing about grinding group strength.

I also think that FLS should have instead of putting in this cunfusing clunky group strength thing. Just take the dice out of pvp. The only preson to get any MOV rewards is the preson who sinks the ship. Doing this would have cut down on the 6v1s for sure. Why bother, your not going to get anything out of it.

Thats why people ganked, its a way of free loading. You dont have to fire a shot. As long as someone in the group sinks or caps some one every one in the group gets MOVs and if ships are sunk every one gets there bountys filled. You could be in a group NOT DO ANYTHING WHAT SO EVER and still get more out of it then what the preson does that really does the sinking. Hence roll the dice. Thats why you saw all the 6 v 1s and total over kill pvp engagements. I dont think FLS ever got that, or under stood the flash mob mantality of the gankers.

It's possible that would be the case, but it could also destroy any group. Many people would likely be much more interested in 1v1s because they're guaranteed to get the loot. It would create much more of a me mentality and people blocking each other, etc. to get the kill. People didn't 6v1 to freeload, they did it for the guaranteed kill. This mechanic actually prevents these types of ganks (outside of some rare circumstances where the mechanics are manipulated). There are a few bugs to work out (especially as it concerns NPCs), and I think the timers should be increased and the reinforcement ration increased to say 1.5 or even 2:1, but all in all the system is working.

Well the NPC group strength in my opion and allot of other players opions dosnt really need to be there. I think most grinders were happy the way things were.

As far as the 6v1 thing is conserned, I have unintentionaly been in a few. Thats how come I discribe it as freeloading. I have been in battles that were 1v1, 2v1 and even 3v1. The battle stays open others jump in. The reason why, free movs, and fill up their bountys for free. Guaranteed kill sure. Chance to get say a caped mercy with out doing anything...sure. The dicing that goes on after the gank is a big modivator, for people to do it.

The point is that the 3+ v 1 gank groups speed fit ships exactly so that they DO NOT HAVE ANY RISK IN THE RED!!!

and then they are the ones that claim 'no crying in the red' and 'the red is supposed to be dangerous'... (just not dangerous for them of course)

problem for them now is that they can get away from everyone as before, but can't actually kill anyone because they are fail fit. That is not unfair, it is a choice they make.
