This is a game; WAY to many people forget that.

Default definition of a good fight

2 days ago , Marbles and I were bored, pvp flagged at MT.. we were asking for 2v2 , but no one took the challenge.

Then Bounty Hunter dude asked if we would fight 3 of them in capmc,
we took the challenge but had no expectation about winning.

Marbles was the 1st to go down, i had full armor, outta the 3 capmc one capN was in danger, i tried to take him down but could not.. Realising that i had no hope i dropped my sails and asked for a surrender which they gave...

A good fight is when u know the fight is over. just because one capN is left, that doesn't mean u need to sink them, a surrender is a sign of Honour ...

QFT.

A GF to me is a fight that took some thought. Could have gone good/bad if I had just...

I like my ego to get checked. Which it has considerably since I returned to the game after a 2 month break. ANY fight that I learn something about my playstyle or the playstyle of an enemy is a GF to my mind.

I love fighting FT's on my cutt. Because EVERYONE cry's about how hard it is. I got my tail spanked last week like it was my first time in the red. I consider it one of my best recent fights, why? Because I got to see an excellent player who know's his class extremly well do his thing against my cocky butt.

I don't mind rageboarding that much, if done well. If done as a finishing move in an otherwise good ship fight. Those that do it exclusivly merit little mention imo. But it is in my mind a valid way to win when all else fails. (This is of course partialy because I am a rat. And taking ships through boarding is part of our econ/ship replacement lol.)

I don't demast unless the person's sail's read >3k. It just screams runner on any class but a priv. (Ironicly, the most common runner in my experiance. But attempting to demast a priv has always been a PITA in my experiance.) Priv's are also the most common rageboarders of the nat classes due to their crew debuffs. I consider a GF with a priv to be surviving the board attempts and getting the sink or forcing them to flee. (Or of course, a good counter board.)

Like the above quote. If it was fun, then it's the meaning of a GF. For me, if I take something away from it, it's a GF. Win or lose.

Anything which doesn't involve slercs shooting chain shot, and rageboarding.

Which happens to be all I found when I logged in yesterday for the first time in months.
