I know this is far from being ready for voting. i had to post it so the folks who wanted to see could give me feed back. As in wht to take out and wht toput in etc.

Brutal truth, I dont think this has a lot of a chance of passing. You will have to remove the "Harley Davidson" flames, the cartoony skeletons, and what I am guessing are canons with the stars at the end. The dice and the words should be ok!!! LOL You cant have design elements that touch the edge of the sail. The biggest problem with the skeletons is they are so small they are aliasing.

ya um thanks but i posted it for the people who wanted it made. i needed to know what they wanted in it and taken out. Anyhow , thanks for the pointers. I had forgot about the decal not touching the sides bit. skeletons drawn in this manner date back to the 12 th centry, Im not sure what you mean by cartoony(you really should see whats int the Approved User Content if you want to see cartoony, lol), we had this debate about the skull. in the early part of the 17th centry a new style of art was taking place called Rococo one of the elements of rococo was a lighter hearted aproach to the work and its elements. I figured the time period that the game is set in the Rococo styles would be setting in. Especially in the Caribean and especially with pirates I mean pirates artists would clearly want to shake the shackles of the old ways and heavy rules of baroque style dispite the fact was a great era of art. The one thing i see the pirates taking with them from the baroque art was its use in propaganda to exemplify success and power. This plays well into what Fodderboy said about the game being set in a fantasy history.
Also Rococo started in France so I would expect to see more of that style in the french sails and spanish sails as well. But not the british as they did not seem to care for the new style. But this is britian for ya. my understanding is they werent to keen on Baroque either.LOL
