I've been working on decorations for Centurion and got sucked into a few good books. I'll get back to it!

Now that Centurion is handed off I've started working on El Pilar de Zaragoza again. Today I added swivel stanchions and railings to the poop deck and finished up the masts.

I couldn't resist a lineup of history's epic Centurion vs Manila Galleon battle, and wow, that poor treasure ship had no chance!

In real life the treasure galleon would have had the ports on the gundeck closed, the guns would have been stored to make room for cargo on that deck. That left the galleon with only the main deck and quarterdeck guns and a handful of swivels against Centurion's full firepower.

According to Centurion's log she pulled up to pistol range and fired her broadside. I imagine the galleon would have been reduced to near kindling. O.o

Compare to historic paintings of the encounter which portray it the other way around, with the galleon dwarfing Centurion:

Tubby is kinda the point, for a ship carrying a year worth of all the treasure produced in the Philippines.

Hopefully they shall give it a similar hauling capacity in-game

I hope there will be a unique Galleon....right now every ships gets outdpsed by the Montblanc. The couronne gets melted, the poseidon, the centurion.

I would love to see 24 x 14lb 22x 12 lb 20x 12 + 2 acc bonus and + 7.5% reload bonus.
