If you haven't taken the time to make a forum account in order to voice your opinion, I really don't think you're actually that investigative over your IG experience. While I did agree that /area should had disappeared, for example, I could still recognise the majority of Forum users that actively engage in PvP, wanted /area to stay. Their opinions mattered "more", in that they had legitimate reasons to actually wanting it to stay (like asking for fights or groups). The "silent majority" on the other hand, probably more argued by the fact /area was a great source of hostility and whining, that they felt uncomfortable reading. This argument is moot, in that these persons could simply had turned /area-chat off.
In the academic world, opinions or theories are not worth anything unless they are presented in public, so as it can be investigated, rebutted and criticized. That's basically what the forum is too (albeit less polite or thought through than a university), because feedback from discussions are more valuable to a designer or dev, imo, than random tickets or anonymous surveys.

After sending out a society message that we would be moving slowly on implementing society warehouses in our society (i.e., waiting til more features are put in for security), I received several replies from normally quiescent members who condemned the warehouse implementation without security, and stated that THEY had no intention of using WH unless and until security was airtight, including logfiles. One member also stated that he didn't want any part of warehouses at all due to the hassles caused by faulty implementations in the past making it too easy to loot guild banks/warehouses in other games.
Bottom line for us: NO warehouse deeds bought or emplaced until the bugs are worked out and features implemented for security and audit (logfiles of transactions). I expect the next wave of society/game messages to be a bunch of resignations or "I quit game" from players p.o.'d over the 18-hour limit, especially without any word of explanation. |

Well you could turn off area, if you didn't liked it. Now you have no choice at all, players get treated like little children in this game, i really dislike that.

What about open sea bug when tagging in a group of 6? It is not fixed as stated in the patch notes. Is there a roadmap for fixing that bug or someting like that?
