The day is drawing ever closer that some news from the 2dSC will be published in this thread. Get out your paper and grab your crayons, we will be looking for designs from you for a special project. This is the last hint that I will give, the news will be released on Monday the 18th.

Here is the announcement from the 2dSC, sorry, but Real Life got in the way and this is going up a little latter than I had anticipated.


Calling all flag/sail designers! How would you like to leave your mark on POTBS? Now you can. The 2dSteering Committee is hosting a contest to add new designs into the general flags/sail inventory.

It has been a long time since new designs were added to the inventory, and on the suggestion from the community, we got the idea to have this contest. Everyone who wants to participate is welcome to. The winners will recieve the flag and sail attached to this announcement. The winning designs will be available to everyone that plays the game!!!

Now the rules:

1. All submissions must adhere to the FLS User Content rules, specifically:

   As a user of this site, you are responsible for your own communications and are responsible for the consequences of their posting. Therefore, do not do any of the following things: submit material that is copyrighted, unless you are the copyright owner or have the permission of the copyright owner to post it; send material that infringes on any other intellectual property rights of others or on the privacy or publicity rights of others; send material that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or embarrassing to another user or any other person or entity; send sexually explicit images; or send advertisements or solicitations of business.

   
   
2. As with all 2D user content, all entries become property of Flying Lab Software. By entering this contest, you agree to grant Flying Lab Software sole ownership of, and copyright to, any file submitted.
3. You may enter as many times as you like.
4. Submissions for the contest do not have to be previously accepted into the game, however they must be submitted to the User Content review system.
5. To submit an entry,post with ItemID of your submitted flag or sail in the thread below this one. You can find this by clicking on the item under My Content and then looking at the number at the end of the page URL. You can include a preview by using the uc BBcode: [uc]itemID[/uc].
6. Nation specific or general flag and sail designs are acceptable. There is a new thread below this one for submissions. We ask that it be used only for submissions and no comments are made there.
7. Winners will be choosen by the 2DSC and announced on July 9th.

There you go, now let the creativity flow and the designs evolve!!! We look forward to seeing your designs ingame!!!
