This is why it was rejected:

You'll need to figure out how to make your sail as a decal with a transparent background -- decals and sails can be colored independently, and the sail will benefit from our high-resolution texture behind it. All sail decals need some fully transparent areas. Be sure to make your decal somewhat transparent (opacity around 50-70%) so some of the underlying sail texture shows through, in addition to leaving some areas 100% transparent.


You have to excuse me, I'm from Norway so I don't understand what it tells me to do. So if someone can help me explaining this, it would be very kind of you. You don't have to translate it into Norwegian, but maybe put it in other words. explain it easy for me.

This is my first sail, so it's no surprise it didn't approve though.

You should've included your sails so we could've seen it for outselves, but it sounds like you covered the entire 256x256 pixel area with something, and that you had no opacity. Full sail replacements won't get accepted.

yes I covered it with colors 235-230-220.. but maybe thats not allowed? and I used no transparancy, as I don't know how to use it.. but downloading "gimp" now, and gonna try that one.

And how on earth do I post a picture of my sail here?

Yes, that's not allowed. Yes, adding transparency will require a program like Gimp or Photoshop.

When you make your post, there's a button to add an attachment, where you can attack a file to your post. The icon for it is the good old Norwegian 'binders'..

If you post what you're working on, I'll see if I can't make it good enough to submit.

Do you have 'Ventrillo' Friend? I'd be willing to help talk you through how to get your sails within the requirment, 40 sails approved so far and counting so im willing to help

Ahoy mates!

Sorry for late answer, I have been gone for a while.

This is what I did; I used gimp to add transparency/opacity to the sail. Think I added like 60% opacity if I'm not wrong. And now my sail is pending approval again.

So, if it doesn't work this time, I will ask for your help again.
