Yeah, much of this stuff doesnt make sence really. Seems like they been focusing way to much on micromanegment were you need to swap between skills that shares the same icons...

Confusing...

Thank you all for your feedback so far. I'd like to address some specific concerns, and talk a little bit about what we are planning as we move forward.

1. Numbers: The numbers on the Test Server right now are not final. These are mostly ballpark placeholders we used for implementation, and do not represent what things will ultimately look like. Repairs in particular are going to be reduced in power considerably.

2. Classes: In the current implementation, classes do share a lot of skills. This was also true with the old skill system, there were a lot of skills that functioned the same way between classes but had different names or a slightly different magnitude of effect. Our goal was to make it easier to learn to play a new class by reducing this redundancy, but we hear your feedback that we went too far in this direction, and will work on making the distinction between the classes more clear.

3. Materials for repairs: Like the numbers, the items required for the repair skills are not final, but we do plan to have repairs consume items from the cargo hold. We recognize that this gives a defensive advantage to ships with large cargo holds, but those ships will have reduced offensive capabilities. The repair skills themselves will also be adjusted so that the larger cargo hold is a strategic, but not a tactical, advantage.

We are listening to what you have to say, and want to hear your thoughts about the new skills. There are test events on Friday and Saturday. We know that what's on the Test Server right now is extremely rough, but encourage you to play it and let us know what you think. We will try to have the next Test Server release out early next week, which will include balance adjustments and bug fixes.

Problem now is that classes is basicly exstinct. The only thing that seperarates the classes on the testserver is the carrerskills, wich you cant get for some weird reason even if you respecc.

Classes has lost their identity.

Another thing is, why are there so many unnecessary skills wich could work as just one skill? The tack upwind is a good example? Why have 5 diffirent skills for the same function that only work in a certain direction? This should be one skill tbh. If we need to put all thoose mainskills with their subskills, we are going to need more toolbars if we want somewhere to place our clickies etc...

This will not make the game easier for new players, on the contrary it will make it MORE difficult & MORE expensive for new players. This is crazy! crazy, crazy, crazy

i agree... this is not nooby friendly, even the vets are confused atm and already know all the mats and stuff, imagine a totally new player coming to the game...

I agree. My main is an No and i'm used to only have one repairskill, cant understand why i now need 12 diffirent ones even thou i'm glad i finally can repair only sails.. But the rest??

i know most say that after every new patch note:

With this new Skills u will loose mostly your complete Playerbase

If i want to Play Word of Tanks i just Play it.
If i want to play the Game that has the best PVP in all MMO i play Potbs
Atleast until this patch hits live

I understand that alot fresh players etc dont understand how most skills work and also they dont know to sail in a fight as good like vet players do.

But if someone new wants to learn he will.
Most just dont want to and move to other games
But theres tons of other games that are all the same in the end

Most MMO are pretty much the same
The only Game that is diffrent is POTBS

If u wanna have a unique game dont patch this on live
If u wanna go down bettween thousand other games that are almost like yours go on

Theres no Reasson to level a other class cuz every class is pretty much the same
Cuz lack of Cargo hold alot of the mats that are needed for repairs will just get scuttled in the lootbox
Every pvper will ahve to go to the auction house and refit his boat with new mats when he lost a fight
We allready have not that much pvp. Now u have to wait alot longer till everyone in grp is reoutfitted

At the start of a battle u hit some toggles and then u only need to push spacebar

Make it easier ok but not that easy
The guy who is more tanked and has more mats for repairs or the guy that gets a grapple will win

I know that u wont listen cuz besides removing the 10v6 battles FLS never did listen to the playerbase in 4 years.
But in the End dont tell us we didnt have u warned

Good Luck with your new game
u will need it

I personally will try to pvp scuttle as many boats i can until this crap hits live

I tried to sink 3 level 50 npcs in a Herc Sleek, ran out of mats to repair myself way to fast, I have 14 repair icons+ consumables on my toolbar, could just barely damage the NPCs and it was totaly confusing. You said you going to make it easier, imo its the totaly different direction. This patch was a big waste of development time. Sorry for my harsh words

Sorry for the length here. I have been holding a lot of this back, but figured I would open the can finally. As the constant talk concerning the litany of changes has me scared we will either never see everything promised or they will be implemented in such a way that will mortally wound the game we have all grown to love.

I just don't understand what you guys are thinking, but then again I post on the forum and submit tickets so I guess I should be ignored.

i wish they made the game it was a year ago 6v1s econ not srewed up in ah and area chat and i do not like the idea of makeing everyship nerfed i aslo dont like the skill set at all i wih it could go back to the way it was.
