Yeah, based on their records so far, it'll take some getting used to. I hope they stick around. Most who pop in after 3 years don't stay.
I remember that name
I played with TYC a bit when my society more or less died, although I never actually dropped soc and joined them. I also remember watching them sploiting the **** out of the 9v6 mechanic when that was out lol.

They were definitely the blackbeard pirate soc to be feared, and names like Ryan Winfield and Iowa Lot bring back a lot of memories of early port battles and group pvp back before everyone was 50.

At least it gave him the opportunity to kill me 1on1. The Lolcombo was so pathetic, that it was funny at the same time.

I can exactly remember when it appeared first. When I fought a guy who I usually beat. Then all over sudden, my crew was gone, my rudder broken and I was left with 400 seconds reload on an Achilles and 0.00 Accel. Very nice....

And how every lolmao rat bandwagon it, abusing the crap out of it. I couldnt even get any fights on my rat anymore even though I couldnt even use the lolcombo due to a different skillset.

I remember when it was first reported, FLS denied it could have existed. After that was first of many 'egg on the face' times for fls.

Kidd was better than mediocre if he actually was set up to do proper 1v1. Most of the time he wasn't.

The lolcombo wasn't exclusive to rats either. The Priv could do the very close to the same thing. The main "problem" was the stacking of crew penalty. Take out crew and basically any debuff was catastrophic. It really got to the point to where people would pay more attention to their stats during a fight than actually fighting. Also have to remember that very few people at this time knew the op nature of ft in 1v1. I remember a certain ft that would max buff with another ft before 1v1...

The people in the vid were scrubs for the most part but names like Fergus, Trev and Seamore I would not really call 1v1 nubs.
