Yarr... It was a fine time with many good loyal captains on all sides. The feeling of looking farword to a new PB, just as exitment as the last one. Is a sparkling memory for many of us! I realy wish that the F2P-players had experienced that. Then they would not just troll over veterans. I can't find words to describe the feeling I have when I think of thoughs days and the people I've met in battle. Yes... I know its "only" a game, BUT.... I't IS one of the best moments in my sparre time of life!

To Jay Po and all you others out there still floating. I truly hope for the return of that time, and the friendship we so respectfuly showed for one another, friends or foe! The time when the EU server were for english speaking players trying to comunicate at the best he/she could. And the time when a player/captain were loyal for hes/hers Nationflag. The time when "crossteaming" was unimaginable inconceivable!

I totally agree with most words spoken here!

If I look back at my spare time spend on gaming, I will first think about those great days of PotBS. I played waaaaaaay to many hours, just to be part of the great community and having fun with like minded captains. Trying to get my Eco going to support Lys-au-Crane and to support any hard fighting captain on the french side. Spit on all opponents and trying to keep the server balanced, to keep the so much anticipated epic Port Battles that really meant something.

I still remember my adrenaline rush though me because the lines were closing in, and I did not want to make ONE mistake. And then I got too much gun fixation and tried to kill of that nasty brit or spannish captain. Forgot about my own ship and sank too many times doing that.

I want those times back, but I hardly have the RL time at this moment to make this game so great for me myself. 2 kids a consuming job and a demanding wife, does intervene with my PotBS pixels.

But the demolishment of a pure wargame by its own makers is the true reason I dont play anymore. I wish I could have 1% of the fun back, that I had during those times. I would definately be logging in, and stop sending millions of Tanks to their deaths in WoT.

A year ago I stopped playing and now I keep reading these forums once in a while. It does say something about this community I was part off.

I will transfer my stuff to the new servers, and only time will tell if I ever will be sailing the seas again. I just hope some company is able to get a true PVP RVR Age of Sail game in store. I am 100% sure I will see you all playing that again.

As I have received a few mails about the status of a few of FE's accounts and if they will make it through migration. I have the ability to move only my own accounts due to what appears as a e-mail verification process. I am only speculating about this but in the way of security I am guessing this will be the way it works. So players such as Ubert, Oli, Cliff, Poy, Riet, Molly, Corpse, Marat, Max, Hector, Uncrow, Black, Lil Dit, ect. ect. NEED to have the current e-mail set up and actually go through with the process. So the million dollar question is whether our fearless leader will be migrated. I'd say at this point no. He will be carried forth only in his statue in Pitre. Alois/Geno is aware of the migration and will chose on his own what he will do with our warehouse toon.
As a personal note, Henry and Boris both brought a smile to my face with their on going wit and banter. I am curious as to the status of ISY players, Noir, Tem, Compass(Snookie's Baby Daddy),Barrett, ect.

Spanish-hax!!! I can't get past loading screen. I have wi-fi at my house and it lets me choose my character then locks on loading screen. This game has the worst technical problems of any software I have ever used but for some reason I can't bring myself to delete it.
