Default Dynamic and convoy agent missions

Convoy agent Mission

You've seen those NPC escorted convoys right. So, how about doing away with the escort and let players do that job.

"Arr Capt'n, I have a few ship loads of valuables I don't want to risk alone on the High Sea, so I will pay you handsomely to make sure they get where they are going safe."

So, a group mission
Escorts are PvP flagged, or may enter into a fight if the escorted ships are attacked.

The idea is to use missions to generate more PvP. The escorted ships are either automated drones sailing to where ever or, the fleet commander, on the OS, controls them all as part of his ship icon (for the want of a better word), though when in battle, the NPC's revert to full game control.
The object for the attackers is to sink the NPC ships, so they have the double challenge of fending off and beating down the player escorts while the NPCs are running for dear life.

Dynamic Agents.
OK, as I understand things, ports that can be contested require specific items either to boost the contention, or lower it. These only kick-in though if there is any contention.
So, how about making the ports dependent more on these things, that is, if they don't get a regular supply of the items then unrest starts and contention points start to be automatically gained for the none owning factions.

That actually gives none PvPers a more active role in the game. You want that nice port to stay uncontested, then you also need to help feed it with what it needs
