Is there such a list/thread?
I'd like to buy a new laptop and want to know if the video card on it will be compatible with PotBS. Some of the laptops I'm looking at have these cards installed: Intel X3100, Intel GMA950, GeForce Go 7200, GeForce Go 6150 (UMA). I'm ready to make a decision on buying one as soon as I get a go ahead from any users or devs telling me which of these will work. Thanks |

I found this website showing Pixel Shader version and compatibility with various cards:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_shader So now does the Go 6150 and 7200 fall under the Go series(which would not make them compatible) or under the 6 and 7 series? Does anyone play this game on a laptop? what kind of video card do you have? |

I'm considering getting a new laptop (my current laptop is 3-4 years old) but I really want PotBS to work on it. I have a desktop system with an NVIDIA 6800 GT video card (old but plenty powerful) and this crashes periodically making PotBS more or less unplayable. I don't want to spend $2000 on a nice gaming laptop only to have PotBS be unplayable on it. I don't really play any other games so if PotBS doesn't work then why did I get a new machine? I'm considering getting a Lenovo T61p. The T61p is not a great computer by gaming standards but it is probably (I hope) good enough. My old HP ZD7000 (ATI Radeon Mobility X600 based) seems to play PotBS just find (no display bugs or crashing) but many of the pretty graphics affects are turned off. What I (and perhaps the original poster) would like to see are postings by folks saying: So, is anyone using a Lenovo T61p? What gaming laptop do you have and how does it work with PotBS? |
