Pirates have no role in RvR, they try (and fail) to force this issue by being dominant on the OS. Speed is the key factor here, because they have the ability to force fights when properly organized that nationals do not wish to take part in. This is the thing nationals never understood, the change you lobbied for has destroyed any value pirates have in RvR. I truly do believe we are now at a disadvantage. NOs have gained speed, damage and retain all survivability. Privateers who's previous role was a stunbot, have gained the ability to URR near constantly. While I feel pirates can compete at this stage, further DPS nerfs are coming our way.

This is my honest opinion. I have always felt pirates needed to be powerful simply because it was the only way they had any role at all in RvR. Making them the weakest (or at the very least, the easiest to avoid) is the single greatest nerf I have ever come across. We all know that this game has no endgame, so regardless of what you think Pirates should do with their time - realize that ad hoc pvp and rvr are the only available options.

Congratulations, you've destroyed an entire faction.

Not to worry, they'll be another update in about a month that will nerf the NOs and Privs and restore the Rats as top dog......
