Im damn close to canceling.

I took a 2 month break due to the BS, came back refreshed and ready to jump back into it. What I see now is worse than back then. Granted NO were stronger (slightly) it doesnt justify some of the stuff that has been done, in fact it was like putting a band aid on a gaping chest wound. I fail to understand the thought process behind these changes, what exactly is the end goal? One of my major beefs for taking that 2 month break was the lack of end game content. PVP and farm. Its all the more evident now as you pull into Santo Domingo and see more people there farming Woes than you see in a freaking port battle (when we used to have before the pirate hoard descends upon a port flip attempt). What seperates us from the chinese gold farmers who spam chat trying to sell doubloons for real money? Obviously theyre much smarter cuz theyre making a few bucks out of all that boredom.

Ive played a lot of MMOs, since the early days, Ive never played one so devoid of end game content such as this. The other gripe I have is the fact that so many new things are intended for implementation that according to devlogs were a part of the balance factor, specifically economically,(port governance) in the original concept for PoTBS. If that is the case then why the hell did a game get released have finished? Why are we still playing the beta and paying for it?

Seems to me at this stage its a classic example of how several MMOs have died. In the MMO environment the customer is not always right. It takes an experienced, non biased, and creative staff to come up with an MMO that works and sustains itself without being a cookie cutter copy of every other wizard and dragon MMO out there. FLS it seems your trying to please to many whiners. I think the bigger focus should be on making a game thats rich with content, and well balanced across the board. Pirates should never have had a single class to begin with. How can that be balanced with 3 National classes that are supposed to *compliment* each other in synergy?

In conclusion, this game is one that many bought and played and many still hang on with the hope that it will be fixed and done right. Its an excellent concept that many people like and it stands out. But the lack luster content in the end game, the same repetive missions in the early-mid game have created huge caps in playability for us the customer.

I truly hope that things can be changed for the better as I would be more than willing to come back. But for now Im on the ledge and not much is stopping me from jumping.

Sorry for the rant, figured it would get seen since all you guys are retiring. On a side note, sad to see you all go. You have my respect and turned what was an early debaucle into a power house. Good luck.

I Should have done that at the start of potbs when pirates couldnt stand a chance vs NO and 4th rates , but ofc you had fun guys pvping vs each other and saying pirates are a laugh sinking them by the way...

Hope you realize that what is happening now is a result to FLS trying to balance pirates to other nations , but i bet you like it as it was at start didnt you? Maybe they overbalanced maybe not ...
