Hello, if you read this I thank you, and say I have made a thread in the Fance-Nation part of the forums...I would ask that you go look at the thread I made that says "Population: British, France, Spain, Pirate....its time" read what I have thought of and give your opionion....I posted this ad here because hardly no one goes on those forums which makes it good to discuss such matters, thank you.

Hmm, my society attacked Maracaibo last week and Port of spain this week. If you want to find us in the red, you have merely to look where we are attacking. However, all I see are spanish high levels stitting just outside the red and the few that come in barely know how to shoot their cannons.

ummm...I like tacos?
Alot of things are needed to win a port battle. Strategy, leadership, maneuvering, discipline, and firepower. Fact of the matter is, we tend not to bring all of the above, and a few times we bring none. Until we all get our heads out of our arses, then we won't win a port battle against the spanish. I have nothing for respect for those who are willing to take over command in a port battle, but fact of the matter is they are usually the ones who end up taking the blame when **** hits the fan. Yes, it does take a skilled leader to win a battle. Not one person here can deny that. But on the other side of the coin, it takes a disciplined force to maneuver, with enough firepower, who will follow the strategy as announced by the leader. I havn't seen any of the above lately, and I'm not holding my breath when it comes to seeing it anytime soon. ~~ As for the Spanish, I'll have a chicken quesadilla, with a soft taco, and a pepsi. /tiphat on the win. Can't wait to have everything fall into place for both sides. Will be a great slugfest.

I'm burning from just reading this thread. Hot tempers on all sides of the spectrum. Most of what your talking about is very new to me as I've only been playing this game for two weeks or so. I am almost 30 and very much want to be involved with the "higher" workings of the game. The political machinations intrigue me and I'm down for great battles any time. So even though several of you should feel ashamed for representing your nations/societies by the pure crap posted on this thread, it's really irrelevant to the point I want to get across...
To my fellow Brits: How can I help? I will be 50 soon enough, but other than commanding a ship in battle, swashbuckling, and troubleshooting computer problems, I am in total "newb" status. Grinding contention, Port Battles, the Economy, etc are all still very foreign to me. I am in a society who has a great leader (Preston Bligh) but unfortunately, there's never anyone on. Last 4 nights, I have been on by myself mostly, with one person sometimes logging on from time to time. Last weekend was more fun as there were like 4-5 of us on. Bottom line, its just not enough for me. Any Brit societies looking to bolster their ranks and pass on their knowledge? I know, I know...go to the appropriate forum for society recruitment etc, etc. Some of my post is relevant to this thread, tyvm. |
