Noob question: what makes the pirates strong on the OS?

Well, I'm not really impressed by Pirates and their Pirates Hercs. Last contention on Cayo me and my group sunk 4 Phercs .... With cutters !

Today we had more problems in front of Matthew Town because they popped side by side on us. And they did it 3 times in a row !!! (we lost 3 small ships)

When in a cutter you have a Herc MC and 2 other heavy boats popping 100y from you .. you are dead meat.

Do they have a secret weapon to fall on your head or are they simply lucky bastards ?

2 Phercs sunk with 3 cutters and a Herc sleek .. If I remember well. Then 1 with 5 cutters and the other one .. I'm not sure ... a cutter group, but don't remember how many.

So you are saying it is possible to gank one or two pirate hercs if that is all there is in a group?

Not really a newsflash there. Solo pirate hercs are not the problem. It is when you get 4 or more dropped on you with the extra spots filled with heavy hercs.
