The GdM pvp video I saw was a run-of-the mill sail next to each other in lines blocking and focusing fire. Big whoop. I think I should be able to manage that.

It was the first PvP video I've ever made. I'll post the video of us decimating Brits next, since their morale is already dead.

p.s. I really wish it wasn't though...I saw Ego Incinerator on the OS and thought Lord Mortis was back, which made me happy in the pants.

To clarify, the opinion is that the "Old Guard", "New Guard" crap is complete ********.

The "Old Guard" are feverishly stroking their egos about their 6vs6 superiority when they suddenly got REAL port battles on their hands. 24 level 50's on both sides, bundleboats on the line. Something never seen on Rackham before the merge. But now a reality that will NOT change. Instead of actually listening to the people from BB who's had countless port battle in that kinda climate. They claim 6vs6 is the only thing that counts and claim they are the only ones who know how to PVP "for real".

The "New Guard" is almost worse. Societes hate each other and try and create "Sides" and get people onto their own side. ****ing ******ed. Not to mention a few people from BB making complete ***** of themselves on the forums ruining all the credibility of the others.

Ive fought more times with 1rst-2nd rates in port battles and adhoc then everyone who owns one now combined. Just because we don't do it now doesn't mean we don't know how. We just happen to not NEED to at the moment. Reference puertobello about a month back.

You do know that Spain has very little transfers, right? And we have been the most successful nation in this "brave new world" of bundleboats, right? No Spanish Rated ships has been sunk to this day, while we sank the majority of the British bundleboats lost so far, and in two of those occasions we did it without bringing anything bigger than a 4th rate.

So, I don't exactly understand what is there so special about the "new guard" as you put it and the bundleboats. I mean, the brit "New Guard" lost a LOT of bundleboats these last few days. Now, France's new guard lost two 1st Rates too. Not that I think the transfer are bad players or anything, but your claims that the Blackbeard veterans have a better understanding of the ways of port battles with bundleboats is stretching it.

.... You're missing the point that bundleboats were at like every damn port battle on Blackbeard since forever. This is mostly aimed at French, btw. The amount of 1st and 2nd rates on this server before the server infusion could be counted on one hand.

The armsrace on BB and the extremely high attendance at port battles there means that most people who transferred over DOES have WAY more experience when it comes to the kind of port battles that are NOW a reality on Rackham.

This is my current understanding of the situation.

Before transfers = Port battles on Rackham, usually not 24, people below lvl 50 entered.

After transfers = Port battles start maxing out at 24 regularly, all lvl 50's.

We had the second situation on Blackbeard for weeks and countless port battles before we came over. So yes, we do have more experience when it comes to those kind of port battles.
Rackham natives were way more focused on 6vs6.

This is NOT about Old Guard vs New Guard, it's about both ****ing sides thinking they're hot **** because of how things used to be.

It's a whole new ****ing situation. Skip the Old/New ******** and start ****ing working together. Both have something to learn from each other.
