Community idea: Flag and Sail designs of the month

I'm just throwing this out there as a thought that came into my mind. As you know we can no longer comment on designs that are currently in voting, however I thought it would be a nice thing to highlight designs that people see as they're clicking through all the piles of content.

The way this would roughly work is that there would be a thread in the forums called: (this is example only, don't go looking now)

"User Content Flag of the Month Submissions: May"

In that you can post a flag design you've seen and liked and then post it on the forums in the thread and then that would be up for that months vote.

The first week (or 2 if needs be) would be a case of collecting designs and hearing views of others on them in general, then a new thread is made as a poll where the designs would be listed and you could pick your favourite.

At the end of the month, the winner would be declared and they would get a mention off Aether or Marion, say, in the news area of the site and they might get some in-game prize (probably nothing major, just a nice little thing to keep... like I said, post ideas!)

I just think it would be a nice way to congratulate a good piece of work, as I'm getting a bit bummed about all the poor stuff floating in user content right now.

The only fixed rules I can think of as such would be:

1. You can submit your own design
2. Designs need to abide by the 2D User Content Guidelines

You'd have it once a month for both flags and sails.

Anyway, what do you think? Would this be a nice feature to have? What sort of prize (if any) would you like to see? Any thoughts on improving this?
