I got ganked and i mean ganked by 5 lvl 50 priates and it was not my doing.. they were sitting right next to the dock and i mean right next to the dock at the spawn in point..and spread out at port royal right next to the spawn in point,,which is wrong because PR cannot be attack,, but the port way the heck over there nw of PR the red circle just touches the dock area of PR.. anyway... was not red when i entered did my stuff a couple of quests there,, and went to take my bermuda sloop out of the harbor and Wham!.. i find myself surrounded by 5 lvl 50 pirates.. WTF.. I tried running doing 18.6 on the speed o meter,, and they caught me.. that in itself is wrong... but it is unforunate for me that my connection has major lag at peak hours so ,, when they beat me up enough somone boarded me but i could do nothing but stand there and watch folks clip all over the boat,, then bam dissconnected,, WTF.. I relogged as fast as my system would allow and now iam in a port I never been in,, in the last 5 months and not port royal ...WOW.. no I mean WTF.. no maybe the WOW effect is way to much in this game...lol

1. reduce the circle to not include nations capitals.. why.. lot of new folks have missions in them,, ie tutorials,, ect.. totaly unfair for them..

2. No one should be able to sit at a spawn point and gank anyone no matter what lvl they are.. min distance should be 25 miles or so maybe.. why.. ends camping as we know it .. FLS stopped the.. get out of one incident and jumped by another right away by letting one go for a ways first.. this should apply here also..

3. My fault i should have looked but being in a city that one cannot attack one should be safe to board your boat.. period..

4. Just me but way to many magic spells being cast for my way of sailing,, its boarding on some magical game rather than skill and learning to go into combat on the open sea.. stealth ..lol... eleminate it entireley is my thought,, taller the ship more over the horizon one can see..

There is no "nice guy" attitude here.. if Iam a lvl 45 and a lvl 3 comes around me i let him go,, NP .. Ahhh but you say he may be carriing bundle of unreast.... Have not seen any bundle of unrest hurt a port battle that is full on.. and in my case it was Port Royal,, you cant use them anyway..

Sorry for the lvl 50 pirates that must have really been bored to attack a burmada sloop .. and sorry for the disconnect,, I think it went unnoticed as you cannot disconnet your persona.. stays or something like that,, but with my system I cannot board or be boared without major problems atm.. new system on way and high speed cable soon..

Thanks for your time in game all anyway,, one day i will be able to participate fully,, but until them I just sail around on easy mode....lol

WELL let me tell you something about "ganking..

I am a level 50 pirate and I was sailing my default Halifax "you won't get **** if ya sink me ship" through a red zone to get to an avcom mission in Orjandstand.

In other words I did not need my regular ship to do the mission.

Long story short, I got jumped by no less then eight (8) Spanish players and was sent to the bottom in a matter of seconds.

I started to run then I thought WTF have I got to lose. It's a default ship. There is no cargo on board

I was so bored with the idea of getting ganked in a ship that would give these players nothing more then a hard on for attacking it.
I do hope they wiped off their keyboards when they were done.

Any way I turned into the fools, lowered my sails, went to my fridge and got a beer whilst the little boys did their worst.

SO all this tripe about it being the pirate players that are doing all the ganking is a load of ****.

Must be some kind of a bug. I thought 6 was max in a battle.

Sounds like a gun control argument. Who do you blame the people that make the guns or people that use them? Or better yet the baseball steroids issue, "wasn't against the rules at the time". Players in my opinion are playing the game within mechanics so I don't fault them. I do agree that this drives people away but, the game is not for everyone. The better question who at FLS thought this would be a mainstream game? Likely no one. They have stated as much the i.e. DrewC's post. I enjoy the cat and mouse game. Sure I have been sunk 6v1 two or three times but, I have gotten away from more 6v1s than I have been sunk in. I just don't see how you can play a war game and expect to win if you resist some of the intended mechanics. In the end someone will always use them against you. I just don't think it's fair of you to blast the players. This is still a game right?

Gankers play any nation, any society, and are no respecters of persons. Hence, GANKERS. Panama_Jack's Zen-like solution might not be for everyone, but it sure worked for him, and probably saved him an enormous Tums bill.

Panama I did not pick on pirates or any other nation,,just was pirates that day perhaps,, general terms all folks gank so to speak.. sorry if I sounded like i hate pirates or something. Without them there would be no game in my estimation.. I have done the pirates when the game first came out and in beta,, but i found at the time the pirate persona was lacking in defense and offense to be to successful.. It has changed somewhat now and may be worth while to investigate the persona again.

As far as sailing into the red zone many believe you take your chances in there all being equal,, but to some new folks I belive a better explanation during tutorials may help them along better and we may get to keep more in the game.

I just think any port in the game that cannot be contested should have free access to the open sea.. but maybe thats just me.. There are still many who do not wish PvP on any given day for several reasons I guess thus the free pass to open sea may be an answer that needs to be looked at..

Thanks for your time in game and out...
