To a certain extent its sad because we didnt get to have more epic battles and a hard challenging push for the map win, so if France wins now it wont feel as good as if we fought the best and had a challenge in front of us, unless some thing change within the other nations I dont see this "great finale" happening... and then if we win all we got to look forward to is getting owned in the face by underdog tools and longer grinding for contention, and other crap. Not much of a prize more like "Congrats u came in first!, /face punch, that was your prize, enjoy!".

Just replace France by Spain and yeah, that's exactly what it's like. Weeks without opposition, then mergers making the underdog tools not just a nuisance but a gamekiller, and then AoC. And I swear, there are going to be more mergers. The 'quitting' thread on Roberts is enormous. I'm fairly sure BB and Antigua are not in a better shape.

Your only consolation is that at least they lessened the contention bonus/debuff percentages. But in all honesty, I'd still hold off on winning until you have some clarity on what FLS's next step is going to be.
