Leave POTBS for Conan..you're kidding me? Who wants to run around half naked in the snow, grunting, and trying to formulate a complete sentence?

POTBS is a History Buff's dream come true! Sure it has its Historic flaws (women soldiers, geography, etc).. But where else can you dive into the Age of Sail and fire a full broadside at some nasty Frog?

I'm set here until the end. I hit level 50 today, and I dont need any of the so called "end game" content that the gamer types cry about. I'll finally be able to do what I intended in the first place: Sail the seas, attack enemy ships, and steal their cargo..Prize Money!

I played a hairy and scarred Bear Shaman last night for 5 hours or so, grunting as much as possible. Decent game, interesting take on some features...not sure if it is worth a longer term sub.


For people like me, PotBS at the moment lacks everything I want - group PvP all the time. I could do missions for a night and not get bored, I could grind for a few days for something and not get bored, but I cannot last more than 2 days without some serious 6v6 PvP.

Due to the sissies running around afraid to lose ships, we Failors have moved on until PotBS fixes the end game so people won't be afraid to get out there and engage.

I will be back because I believe PotBS Devs can get the ship upright...I'm just not going to suffer through the boredom of waiting on them.

Agree..My sub runs out today.With so few ppl playing atm(at least Spanish), i think i wont pay for another month.I will be looking on forums to see if things are getting better,and as soon as i read posts like: "Im going back,this game is starting to be awesome!", ill renew my sub. I really enyoj this game still but there is no point with 100 players on server.

I'm a history buff - I was really loving POTBS at first but game was born with serious birth defects (that are most likely fatal) and I just can't play it anymore. AOC on the other hand is amazing. I just wish POTBS was even half as good as AOC is- I could deal with that for the sake of age of sail history. Sadly, it is not.

Here is my opinion on the matter. After playing AoC for a few hours I remembered what it was like to play a MMO with a budget and a talented large staff. The starter area of AoC has more to see and do then pretty much all of Pirates. I like the historical context of pirates, and I had hoped for a great nich PvP game, but FLS failed in making that happen. The look, size, and content of AoC makes Pirates look like commadore 64 game.

fo sho ! seriously they made Age of Conan in less time and its a much bigger, polished package than POTBS which took over 5 years to make.

its beautiful, fun, and there's never a dull moment, especially if you play on a pvp server.
