Play to Crush in the Red Circle? A five-year-old game now free to play has just surged ahead of PotBS.

By the same measure, PONG is stomping PotBS.

Ouch, I'd thought about playing DDO. That hurt.

Reason I didn't was because, well, I'm used to playing rather unconventional monster races. And with the amount of cries for "nerf!" that MMOs get, there's no way in f-ing hell that the non-vanilla races, if they ever did get implemented would be balanced.

Among other mechanics that I couldn't see being implemented at the time of DDO's launch.

I'll stick to P+P DnD and the Baldur's Gate series, thank you.

And we can still be proud to be ahead of this one, but it is gaining.

I have fond memories of listening to all the people in beta cry "go to hello kitty online if you don't like PvP".

Funny how I'm still here, and most of them aren't.

I played ddo at launch.

I have a good bit of experience in both table top and computer rpg's.

ddo did not hold my interest past the first month. It felt like any other fantisy rpg and not very dnd like at all.

Shadowbane on the other hand I played for several months to a year.

I did note that in all the 'trends' posted potbs tends to show a steady decline. Not a good indicator.
