Folks-

SOE had some troubles getting the patch distributed, and they are still not completely done. So we're going to be moving this to the normal outage time between 1:30am and 3:30am on thursday morning, Pacific time.

We'll definitely be rescheduling port battles scheduled for that time frame.

You have a really good point there. Indeed, port battles should be postponed ahead of time (in case of planned maintenance).

A stack of loot/exp books, after all this is over, would definately ease some of the problems this is creating.

Better a delay then a bad rollout.

FYI if they have issues Thursday.. DONT patch on a Friday, figured FLS learned this but just a reminder. Killing a couple days during the week isnt nearly as bad as killing the weekend if something goes bad.

The new eco unrest system sounds even worse than the current one.

Well, I just cancelled my accounts, me and my gf have 7 in total, but this has been another disaster thats making things hard to tolerate. This should have been delayed at the start by a day instead of imposing numerous setbacks on all these players, and causing so much confusion with port battles like it seems to have done. If things improve, i guess I can restart the accounts when they time out, but in all likelihood, I think its time to look for something more stable and a little more reliable.(wish me luck!)

Hope things improve, a great game being damaged by a few serious hiccups.

I do have to add, that in game customer support is absolutely awesome, having had to use it a few times and had replies within minutes most times!

Sail safe everyone.

Is the current contention system in 1.4 going out with the patch?

I'm pretty sure it will, unfortunately.

FLS, why not use this delay and scrap it?

Agreed, I don't think there will be any red circles after this goes through. Grinding the last five thousand was painful enough, let alone having to do the first 5000 points of contention now. Not to mention its almost impossible to stop counter grinding in a red circle through pvp. Grinding npcs for no gain doesn't sound fun, not to mention you make alot more grinding woes or some other equivalent mission then you do for grinding in a red circle and participating in RvR. This game is so borked sometimes ... sigh.

You're quitting over a patch delay of 1 day?

Good riddance.

if at least the loot was good for NPC grinding... but NO; A NATIONAL NPC MUST DROP ONLY HALF THE LOOT A PIRATE WOULD HAVE.
Either grind for money or grind for unrest! You want both?
THEN PLAY SIXTEEN HOURS A DAY!
Is Rusty Brad McQuaid? Because his adherence to the "my vision is more important than player satisfaction" dogma is astounding at this point.
