I just wanted to thank all the people that 1vs1'd with me yesterday. I think there were 7 different people all together, and I don't think I won any of them (lol), but I a had a GREAT time, (especially the Minerva v. HHerc ). I really needed a full day of great PVP. That was exactly the thing that keeps me coming back. Can't wait to do it again.

To the people that say honor is dead and you can't find good solo PVP, I laugh... HA HA!

Shady, what did I tell you about trying to falsely imbue confidence in the nationals? J/K

1 vs 1 and port battles have been my favorite part of the game so far. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to experience too many of either. I would really like to have more 2 v 2 or a 3 v 3, nothing too big but a little bit different than a 1 v 1 to mix it up with. Maybe with the insurance system more people will be willing to do this. Hopefully the skirmish system could be more fun as well.

Well I am sorry that I missed out on this. I was actually grouped for a change last night (mostly).

Minerva vs HH is a fight that not even I am nuts enough to take on seriously. Those HH are just too mean.

For A while last night I was running around flagged in my Minerva and went from 6 Spaniards chasing me west along the south side of Cuba to 3 Brits chasing me back east to 6 pirates near IP chasing me into an NPC battle.

Sometimes I think I ought to look up the French word for carrot and rename my ship. In two of our battles last night, it broke down into all of the enemy chasing me, while the rest of our ships shot up and killed the guy on the tail end of their line.

Is there some 3 million doubloon bounty on my head that I don't know about?

I was thinking that too, but I figured what the hell. I actually got close enough to board without getting sunk, but then he swabbed the decks with me. It was a lot of fun though.

Yeah that was a really nice move. It took me forever to load coming out of that boarding instance too (dunno if it was system lag or inet lag). You were a good 100 yards away by then, and I was looking for a life raft.
