So is this supposed to mean that that 1.9 survey was the one that they based the decision on? I don't see a thing in there about fantasy-swords. Am I missing something? Or perhaps it was another survey that they used? The one thing I recall seeing is the question about "Will you use FDL gear?" or somesuch, to which I'd imagine many people answering yes because they're the best gear around, not because they like the models... Is that question the one they're referring to?

In any event, could we possibly see the question that the devs are referring to in this "unanimously positive feedback"-thingie(?), so that we may see where we went down this road? I havent answered all the surveys, so maybe I didn't even see it.

Also, as mentioned before, I'd like to point out that for instance, in the 1.9 survey I would have like to have had a "Oh pleaseppleaseplease, remove the damn things! They're too much money!" radio-button in the question about the dailies... but it wasnt' there. So I clicked the one about rather grinding them than other missions, because... well 125k in 45min, or 50k in a few hours? Well, the choice is easy, but that doesn't mean that I like the dailies being there in the first place... This isn't to initiate a new discussion about the dailies, but merely to point out the problem of a non-open-ended survey.

...[and more]
Every survey so far has had an open text field where you could leave comments, for exactly such things. Surveys are useless (or at least very complex to understand) if they have too many questions/options. That's why such a text field is often added.

...and a lot of people just skip them or answer openly in such a manner that it makes the open sections just about useless for statistical comparison (although it is nice qualitative feedback). However the devs say they appreciate the survey results more than our open feedback here on the forums, which kind of implies that they've got a bundle of feedback quantitatively appraised. Hence I'd assume that in some of the surveys there would be a question that at least implies to matters of style, mood and atmosphere... for instance, the question I mentioned in the previous post, mostly implies "is it good/strong/rewarding enough?" and will hence probably yield poor quantitative results on the style-aspect. I'm not saying this to criticize their surveys statistical importance or anything, I'd just like to hear what was the actual question that pointed the devs that the feedback was nigh-uniformly positive.

I can't find the result of your survey.

I'm also totally against any orc-slaying-swords and similar items, I want PotBS to be more realistic then fantasy.

Wow, I'm having a great day and it's only getting better with all these new additions. I love to collect and tinker with a wide variety of items. Keep up the great work and keep pumping those items out.
