Seems to me the nades and guns will rule avcom...

Just took a PB to avcom and our team got naded - shot and killed in 10 secs didnt even get within sword range, GAME OVER...

Looks to me that the guns have already been nerfed.

Rapid shot allows a shot every 5 sec, for 15 sec, so only three shots. And cross-shot has a 20 second reload timer.

Doesn't seem worth taking the full gun line anymore. I stopped at the grenade. I took the full fencing control line so I could get the 360 degree attack to try and debuff, then wipe out crew. It doesn't leave much for one on one fighting though.

Guns = Berserker mode with DF.

When facing opponents with the Pistol build (a while back during PB contest), it was basically decided on who hit first :/ Seems that way for a ton of fights.

A full group of people using cross shot will still take down everyone within 12 yards. But no, I would say it's not worth going past cross shot.

i tried one of these builds what is suggested and there isnt enough points to get teh skills needed can anyone explain these builds a little further ? especially teh Beserker DF build id liek to know exactly what points to take

I bet a lot of ppl that suxor at the the old system will use:

Chain Shirt-First Rate
Random Shoes
Random Neck

Full Defense line
Part Pistol line
2pts Control

Then they will scream "OMG SINK HIM!! SINK HIM!!" over vent as he spams "Wall of Steel", and various other defense buffs and pew pews/ runs around the ship like a ******.

(Can I order my ship to just kill BOTH OF US at this point in time?!?! T_T)

Doesn't really work too well against a skilled fencer, between knockback shot, grenades, and my crew snaring him he won't move fast, then with lunge I can keep that damage resistance nice and low.

But yes, I agree, this system is perfect for griefers. I suggested they do something about boarding being used as a griefing tactic while they were working on this. It went ignored, evidently.
